Founded by Dr. Lydia Aznar-Alfonso, the museum has a notable collection including neolithic artifacts, liturgical pieces, ancient burial coffins and grave furniture, and excavated gold jewelries. Also in her collections are 18th century primitive religious paintings, ethnographic collection, and vintage books. The Southwestern University Museum showcases the cultural custom of Cebu.
