Cocobana Beach Resort was opened in December 1992 as the first Resort on Malapascua Island. The name Cocobana was inspired by the four words Corals, Coconuts, Bananas and Cabanas. The Resort is located right at the snow-white Bounty Beach.

Cocobana Beach Resort is jointly operated by Swiss and Philippine management.
